Naomi and Ottavio are longtime martial art practitioners & dancer/choreographer/ stunt coordinators with decades of experience through multiple forms of movement, such as Kempo, Tai Chi, Weapons Work & Ballet to name a few. They became certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga instructors in 2005 and are registered teachers through Yoga Alliance (RYT 200). Since becoming certified they both have been teaching a variety of Ashtanga Vinyasa based classes throughout the US & Europe and were the initial yoga ambassadors to represent the first lululemon store in Las Vegas. Ottavio & Naomi are known for accommodating all level practitioners within a single class, challenging the seasoned practitioner with advanced poses while simultaneously demonstrating modifications and the steps to achieve these poses in time for yoga beginners and intermediates.
Naomi & Ottavio are also honored to be It’s Yoga trainer’s and lead the 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training curriculum in Las Vegas, which is recognized by Yoga Alliance and has certified over 3,000 instructors worldwide. Click here for more info about certification. They are the founders of the Dragon Vinyasa system, which is an integration of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Kempo and Tai Chi Martial Arts. It was designed as a warm up to remain calm, focused and simultaneously energized in order to perform death defying crossbow stunts as MR. & MRS. G. Together they perform these remarkable stunts in various shows and events around the world and have worked with Britney Spears and Conan O’Brien.
Ottavio Gesmundo hails from over six generations of circus performers. His vast entertainment experience ranges from on stage performances (Saturday Night Fever on Broadway, Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida in The Netherlands, Billboard Music Awards with Aerosmith & The Spice Girls) to creative production (National Equity Tours of Spider-Man Live! & Pippin). Ottavio is an acclaimed Stunt Director & Choreographer with a unique ability to integrate dance with stunts and was especially celebrated for his stunt work on the National Tour of Spider-Man Live, which enjoyed sold out performances at Radio City Music Hall.
Naomi Brenkman-Gesmundo was born in Utrecht Holland, where she began her Shorinjikempo Martial Arts training at the age of 4. By age 6 she focused on dance and attended the Royal Academy of Ballet in Amsterdam and then graduated from the Academy of Dance in Rotterdam with a Bachelors Degree in Classical Ballet & Folkloristic Dance with additional specialties in Contemporary, Jazz, Flamenco, Character Dance & Choreographyy. Naomi has enjoyed an extensive performing career throughout Europe, Canada & the United States. She was resident choreographer, dance captain & swing for the musical Miss Saigon, as well as dance captain & swing for the the first International company of Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida in The Netherlands. Naomi was an original member of the hit recording group Alice DeeJay and was the associate fight director and swing for the National Tour of Spider-Man Live!
